   Please ignore this part of my message- I found that I had forgotten
'make config' on the custom kernel, and so I redid everything again. This
time I got it right. Nothing like public foot-to-mouth action for solving
problems, eh? *** Everything is good now. *** Sorry for any inconvenience.
