Hi, I never had problems with my Adaptec 2940 U and my three HDDs (Quantum Capella 2.0 GB, and two Quantum Fireball 2.1 GB), but when I upgraded to RedHat 5.2 (AIC-driver 5.1.2) the second Fireball was not recognized by the drivers (the BIOS did still recognize it). I tried another SCSI-card based on an ncr53c800 and an fdomain 16xx -> it worked, so I think there is something wrong with 5.1.2. btw.: The Fireball that isn't recognized was once used in a Sun Sparcstation 5 running Solaris 1.1, so I always got warnig-messages using fdisk, but besides that everything worked fine. Has anybody got a solution? ALEXANDER BORNIK alias alex@halex.ml.org To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-aic7xxx" in the body of the message
