Would have helped to quickly narrow down my obvious mistake: url: "pkg+http://pkg.FreeBSD.org/FreeBSD:13:amd64/quarterly" url: "pkg+http://pkg.FreeBSD.org/FreeBSD:13:i386/quarterly" ^^^^ different architectures! So, everything is good, there is no difference between US and EU repo mirrors :-) > Broken build on the package cluster e.g., > or https://lists.freebsd.org/archives/freebsd-pkg-fallout/ Sometimes This link was just what I was looking for. No I can confirm my machine is sane because I get the exact same compilation error from ports. Too bad I tossed my previously functioning i386 package with the usual 'pkg clean'. Much appreciated, Karl
