To get out of this I just "control C" it. However, the ownership and file permissions are not set. It looks like all the data was restored, however without the proper permissions or ownership it's almost impossible to restore in a timely manner. I'm almost ready to implement Amanda, when I noticed in the FAQs that Amanda calls "restore -if" and has the same problem. If the "-r" option is used then restore goes just fine. The problem seems to only occur on the Larger partitions (above 3GB). I have checked the web for answers, where I could see that others are experiencing the same problem. But, no fix was mentioned.
