I have a 3c589c-TP, and the default GENERIC kernel finds it, ifconfigs
it up, and appears to work (I get a link light on the hub at that point).
However, no packets will move in or out of it, as if there was no net 
there at all.  Am I missing something simple?   I'm going to config a 
custom kernel for it, but I'm not sure what to configure differently since
it appears to see the card OK, just not talk to it.

Any hints would be appreciated.
