I've got a:

sym0: <895> port 0xd000-0xd0ff mem 0xefffa000-0xefffafff,0xefffbe00-0xefffbeff irq 12 at device 10.0 on pci0
sym0: Tekram NVRAM, ID 7, Fast-40, LVD, parity checking

(probably the same as yours, ah no, you've got an SE one only) running
on -current without (controller related) problems.

Those messages seem to be normal occasionally, seen them here, too.

What disk is da0?
