https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D213583 Bug ID: 213583 Summary: multimedia/ffmpeg: enable MMX/SSE by default on i386 Product: Ports & Packages Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Keywords: patch Severity: Affects Only Me Priority: --- Component: Individual Port(s) Assignee: multimedia@FreeBSD.org Reporter: jbeich@FreeBSD.org Depends on: 205958 Assignee: multimedia@FreeBSD.org Flags: maintainer-feedback?(multimedia@FreeBSD.org) Created attachment 175893 --> https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/attachment.cgi?id=3D175893&action= =3Dedit v1 With stack alignment crashes fixed SIMD should be safe to use by default gi= ven the code is gated by CPUID check at runtime. CPUID is also used on amd64 to enable SSE4 or AVX at runtime but we haven't seen crashes there, so there's= no corresponding compile-time options.
