I am going to merge GNOME 2.6 into the ports tree now.  Per emails sent
to all affected maintainers, I will be touching about 600 ports (mostly
PORTREVISIONs).  Therefore, I'm going to lock down the tree while I do
this.  This won't last long, and I will send an all-clear when I'm
done.  Thanks for your patience.
