I don't know.  However, having debugged this in the FreeBSD 2.2, I can
say with some assurance that the TP BIOS refuses to allow the
hibernation to occur.

Windows may be using an IBM specific APM command to cause it to work,
but since it's undocumented, there's no way for FreeBSD to use it.
