Anyway, whenever I boot FreeBSD I see warnings like these: wd0s1: raw partition size != slice size wd0s1: start 63, end 5526359, size 5526297 wd0s1c: start 63, end 12594959, size 12594897 wd0s1: truncating raw partition wd0s1: rejecting partition in BSD label: it isn't entirely within the slice wd0s1: start 63, end 5526359, size 5526297 wd0s1e: start 1089599, end 12594959, size 11505361 is there anything I can do to shut these up? It seems to be harmless, I can access the Linux partition fine in Linux and the BSD one fine under BSD, which is all I need, they're just starting to annoy me a bit now. - fdisk information - ******* Working on device /dev/rwd0 ******* parameters extracted from in-core disklabel are: cylinders=784 heads=255 sectors/track=63 (16065 blks/cyl) parameters to be used for BIOS calculations are: cylinders=784 heads=255 sectors/track=63 (16065 blks/cyl) Media sector size is 512 Warning: BIOS sector numbering starts with sector 1 Information from DOS bootblock is: The data for partition 1 is: sysid 131,(Linux filesystem) start 63, size 5526297 (2698 Meg), flag 0 beg: cyl 0/ sector 1/ head 1; end: cyl 343/ sector 63/ head 254 The data for partition 2 is: sysid 130,(Linux swap or Solaris x86) start 5526360, size 401625 (196 Meg), flag 0 beg: cyl 344/ sector 1/ head 0; end: cyl 368/ sector 63/ head 254 The data for partition 3 is: sysid 165,(FreeBSD/NetBSD/386BSD) start 5927985, size 6666975 (3255 Meg), flag 80 (active) beg: cyl 369/ sector 1/ head 0; end: cyl 783/ sector 63/ head 254 The data for partition 4 is: Thanks, -- Ben Smithurst | PGP: 0x99392F7D ben@scientia.demon.co.uk | key available from keyservers and | ben+pgp@scientia.demon.co.uk To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
