This appears to be the las t few milliseconds of the sound looping since, when a played sound terminates in silence, no bu zzing is produced. I have tested this using an mp3, played in mpg123 and a wav ripped from a CD , using wavplay. This problem was present when I was running 4.0 -release and -stable. ( About a year ago. ) This may be a problem with my configuration, but the available documentation for the pcm and cs a devices is very limited. FYI, this problem does not appear using OpenBSD with the clcs driver. As far as I can tell, the card is an onboard CS4614. FreeBSD dmesg: Copyright (c) 1992-2001 The FreeBSD Project.
