I recently bougth (buy) FreeBSD 2.1 Jan '96, and i still trying to install it but i can't! too many ERRORS. First i'm on Pentium 100 Mhz Triton Motherboard, 8 Mb RAM, 256 kb L2 cache, HD Conner 1.28 Gb, Hitachi CD-ROM 4x, i just running inst_ide.bat and this is the good part: wdc0: at 0x1f0-0x1f7 irq14 on ISA wdc0: unit 0 (wd0): Conner Peripherals 1275 Mb - CFS1275A wd0: 1219 Mb (2496816 Sectors), 2477 cyls, 16 heads, 635 S/T, 512 B/S wdc0 unit 1 (atapi): <HITACHI CDR-7730/0008a> removable, iordy wdc0: 689 kb/sec, 128 kb cache, audio play, 128 volume levels, ejectable tray wdc0: no disc inside, unlocked Ok?? all is fine! But in the install program when i choose the media it appear a message that NO DEVICES FOUND!! what happend???? More.. i copy /dist/bin and /floppies to my HD particion (DOS) and when i try to get it.. some errors about gzip error!!! Thanks for the advance!
