gang, I got the following when manually creating a kernel core dump from within DDB: \begin{console} FreeBSD/sparc64 (u5.pn.xcllnt.net) (ttyu1) login: ~KDB: enter: Break sequence on console [thread pid 23 tid 100011 ] Stopped at kdb_enter+0x3c: ta %xcc, 1 db> call doadump Dumping 256 MB (1 chunks) chunk at 0: 268435456 bytes ... ok Dump complete = 0xa db> c Interrupt storm detected on "vec2016: atapci0"; throttling interrupt source FreeBSD/sparc64 (u5.pn.xcllnt.net) (ttyu1) login: \end{console} I don't get the interrupt storm triggered on any of the other platforms I can test. It may not be worth looking into. On the other hand, it may be symptomatic for more fundamental problems. Details about the machine can be found here: http://www.xcllnt.net/~marcel/machines/u5 FYI, -- Marcel Moolenaar USPA: A-39004 marcel@xcllnt.net
