Anyway, just do, # dump -0auf filename filesystem where 'filename' is the regular filename of your choosing and 'filesystem' is the filesystem you are backing up. If space _is_ an issue, you might consider compressing the dump output, # dump -0auf - filesystem | gzip > filname I do this all of the time when I backup to removable SCSI drives (Jaz drive)... which I just realized I forgot to do at work today. :/ > 2) There is the possibility that I'm going to have to connect this box to a > Novell network.
