I am trying to set up my HP C2520A scanner on 7.1 san-find-scanner finds it at /dev/pass0, byt that device is only acessible to root: crw------- 1 root operator 0, 104 Dec 30 18:10 /dev/pass0 Now obviously I could change this, but i am wondering what the "correct" way to allow ordinary users to access tis device is? -- One of the main causes of the fall of the roman empire was that, lacking zero, they had no way to indicate successful termination of their C programs.
