Well, I just tried two things:
1) deinstall the port and instal it again
2) remove the distfiles, then do 1)

Both confirms that the snapscan.conf file isn't overwritten. I'll try
to downgrade the port.
Nope, version 1.0.17_2 of the port now also leaves the snapscan.conf
file alone.
I don't get it. The only things changed since I filed the PR is that I
have upgraded FreeBSD:
root@kg-work# uname -a
FreeBSD kg-work.kg4.no 5.5-PRERELEASE FreeBSD 5.5-PRERELEASE #6: Sat
Mar 11 18:50:33 CET 2006
root@kg-work.kg4.no:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/SS51G  i386

Hmm, I also have cvsuped the ports (I do that quite frequently, to keep
up). Perhaps something in the ports infratstructure / build scripts
changed?
