We are running wu-ftpd 2.4 on some FreeBSD boxes here and we keep getting this message whenever someone logs into the ftp server: ftpd[435]: open of pid file failed: No such file or directory Often followed by: last message repeated 4 times (the number varies) It always appears regardless if the session is anonymous or not. I created /usr/anon/var/run in case it is looking there and no go. Regular ftpd doesn't give this error. How can we satisfy wu-ftpd and get rid of this error? Or at least, how can I find out where it wants to put the pid file? :) Thanks for any help you can provide.
