i have one machine with a adaptec 1740 controller and since 11/5/95
i can't build a kernel with this driver unless i include a bogus
controller ahc0
line in kernel config file, then it builds fine.i have the line
controller eisa0 in config file.here is the error i get:

loading kernel
eisaconf.o: Undefined sysbol `_eisadriver_set` referenced from text segment
*** Error code 1

Stop

here is the line that i have for the 1740:
controller	ahb0 at isa? bio irq ? vector ahbintr

also if i build GENERIC i have no problems.for now i'll just keep the
ahc0 line in.
Thanks
