What is the preferred way to the ldconfig hints file in FreeBSD 4.x? 1. Override the ldconfig_paths option in /etc/rc.conf 2. Specify the paths in /etc/ld.so.conf or /etc/ld-elf.so.conf 3. Set the LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variable The ldconfig manpages still refer to /etc/ld.so.conf, however it appears that option 1. above is most 'correct'. ---- Christopher Farley Northern Brewer / 1150 Grand Avenue / St. Paul, MN 55105 www.northernbrewer.com To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
