Specifically I'm looking for guidance (ie, a snip of a conf file) for getting one implemented in an environment where the freebsd box running opengatekeeper needs to service clients sitting behind a firewall running NAT. The firewall and gatekeeper are two separate devices. Opengatekeeper's sparse documentation manages to botch enough english to obscure the intended meaning of the author and deja.com has been unhelpful (for the first time in a long time).
