X-BeenThere: freebsd-ports@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.1 Precedence: list Reply-To: philip.reynolds@rfc-networks.ie List-Id: Porting software to FreeBSD List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Fri, 06 Aug 2004 16:11:01 -0000 Hi, devel/bugzilla has a p5-Mysql dependency, which I think can be replaced with a DBD::Mysql dependency Bugilla's RUN_DEPENDS is using ``${SITE_PERL}/${PERL_ARCH}/Mysql.pm'' as a dependency, and if it's missing tries to install databases/p5-Mysql. p5-Mysql seems to only work for mysql 3.x which means that those of us using mysql4+ (I'm currently using 4.1) are stuck with DBD::MySQL. I'm wondering can bugzilla's dependency on this be replaced with a dependency on the p5-DBD-mysql modules which seem to be much better supported across different mysql versions (3, 4, 4.1 and 5) I know p5-Mysql is supposedly a more complete version, but is there any aspect of bugzilla that uses the extra features p5-Mysql supplies? Any insights would be grateful... Regards, Phil. -- Philip Reynolds | RFC Networks Ltd. philip.reynolds@rfc-networks.ie | +353 (0)1 8832063 http://people.rfc-networks.ie/~phil/ | www.rfc-networks.ie
