I'm really unable to properly evaluatre this change request, so I'm suggest= ing again that you: 1 - file this change as a pull request with upstream [1] 2 - write to the mailing lists (I'd suggest desktop@ and maybe x11@, maybe = also ports@, please choose what you deem the best option) so people more informed than me about these matters can express their opinions.
