I posted the changes to hackers and doc as a diff on Saturday or Sunday. No one has objected to it. If there's a factual problem, I'm sure that someone will correct it. However, having said that I've been using 16k/4k on my laptop for months now and there's been no problems booting off of it, nor with crashes.
