Hi, There are two separate issues here. The first it's updating pkt-gen. This is what I'm trying to do right now ( https://reviews.freebsd.org/D17698). The update will land in HEAD and then after 3 days in 12/stable. I will also update 11/stable later. The second issue looks like a problem related to the em driver. As far as I know, netmap support for em driver is now provided by iflib (sys/net/iflib.c). Maybe there is an issue in iflib_netmap_txsync() that prevents progress? Or maybe the interface is down while TX is stuck (thus preventing progress)?
