There has been a lot of messages going back and forth about Intel's
810 chipset and FreeBSD. Some of the messages I have seen stated
that they have made it work. I was bringing up a box with a 810
chipset but after several tries, I installed a video card with a S3
chip to get the box up and running. I haven't got back to the
initial problem as yet. One reoccuring point in the messages has been
that you need to add support for "device agp" to the Kernel and make
sure the /dev/agpgart exist. Also mentioned was the box was running
XFree86 4.0.1. There is also suppose to be i810 graphic support
posted on freebsd-stable mailing, but I haven't as yet gone out to
retrieve. Good Luck

Hi, i just like to know if an Soyo motherboard with an Intel i810
chipset is supported. Build on sound/videocard.
I like to give FreeBSD a try.
