Ok, slight update. I tried the idea, showed the boss (not my boss, but the boss of my boss's boss, the guy who originally asked for this domain) the RFC, and he agreed that his name is too long. Now here's the part that's hilarious. He wanted me to change the RFC so that he could have his domain name he wanted to be legitimate and doable. (shrug) So I put it in and we're just planning on letting him see for himself if it crashes and burns. Cause if it does, the CEO will yell and I've got the memo saying that the asst. vp told me to do this and caused this mess. So this should be resolved by itself by wendsday. :) Thanks for pointing out that info on the DNS. Being a newbie at bind I also found some other cool stuff about DNS.
