To: freebsd-questions@freebsd.com (Free BSD Questions list) Date: Thu, 16 Jan 1997 17:57:11 -0500 (EST) X-Mailer: ELM [version 2.4 PL24] MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Sender: owner-questions@FreeBSD.ORG X-Loop: FreeBSD.org Precedence: bulk I need to upgrade the kernel on my *bery* happy 2.1.5 machine. I am forced to do thi since the sound card support i need (Gravis Ultrasound) is only available for 2.2. So now the question, I started down the road of upgrading. I booted the floppy, and eventually I was presented with a bewildering set of choices on what packages I wanted to upgrade. I have a slow net connection *28.8( and I would like to wait for the CD to come out to do as much as possible. So just what do I need to upgrade to work corectly? Your wise advice on thiswill be appreciated. -- Stan Brown stanb@netcom.com 404-996-6955 Factory Automation Systems Atlanta Ga. -- Look, look, see Windows 95. Buy, lemmings, buy!
