One of the directories in the above path is group writable. Out of the 
default /etc/sendmail.cf on my 3.1-STABLE (still running 8.9.2):

# are group-writable :include: and .forward files (un)trustworthy?
#O UnsafeGroupWrites

Am guessing the above is enabled on your system.
