Have some experience with isilon NL and ssd iseries. Onefs 6.5 . Dont go mucking around like you are on a normal bsd system. It doesnt work that way. They have a system which is similar to cfengine which overwrites changes so you need to do things their way not the bsd way. Their support is crap since emc purchase. Threw some avere cacheing in front of our silos but still no plans on upgrading..
