I was getting a scrambled screen every time I switched from a virtual console to the X console that lasted for a few seconds. I also felt that it was generally a bit slower than 3.3.x, at least when starting the X server. I didn't have a problem with hardware, for I have a well supported Diamond Viper 550. I did like the xf86config, as it had a couple more options than earlier versions, especially being able to choose the default color depth. Having only one server for all hardware is also a nice feature, I suppose. To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
