I had this code working a couple of years ago, but people didn't like the look of the code, and I never got round to doing it properly. Of course, if you're mirroring (and that's the only reason I can think of for doing this in the first place), then only one of the plexes has to be concatenated. Again, though, striped root file systems don't seem to make much sense.
