This is too vague to answer.  What software are you trying to port?

I'm closing this since it's more of a support question better suited
for ports@ than the bug tracker.

I doubt that having Python 2.7 installed is the cause of the problem.
It's perfectly normal to have both Python 2.7 and 3.6 installed
simultaneously.

Since the port appears to use autoconf try looking at
${WRKSRC}/config.log for some clues on why configure fails
to find Python 3.6.
