Do you mean 'how many can I theoretically bind', or 'how many can I practically
bind'?  

There is no theoretical limit.  You could probably bind them all if
you were masochistic enough (and had enough memory).

I put several thousand on a machine once just to see what happened.  It was
an intensely boring exercise, but nothing untoward occurred.
