            Bug ID: 269719
Summary: net/geoclue: many Gnome programs will not start
                    because geoclue is old (libsoup2)
           Product: Ports & Packages
           Version: Latest
          Hardware: Any
                OS: Any
            Status: New
          Severity: Affects Many People
          Priority: ---
         Component: Individual Port(s)
          Assignee: gnome@FreeBSD.org
          Reporter: dufresnep@zoho.com
          Assignee: gnome@FreeBSD.org
             Flags: maintainer-feedback?(gnome@FreeBSD.org)

Current version of geoclue (2.5.7 use libsoup (v.2).
This cause programs not to load:
https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D269703
Also: https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D269434

https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/geoclue/geoclue/-/tags/2.7.0 says:
HTTP requests are now made via libsoup3.0 instead of libsoup2.4,

So I would expect upgrading would allows a few Gnome programs to start.
