Ebay, & Thinkwiki [1] has helped me identify peculiarities from model to
model.

If you want new hardware, have you considered ZaReason or System76? While
Linux-centric, they at least seem to combine hardware with OS in mind.

I'm sorry that I don't have a specific model to recommend - personally, I
would love to be able to find a lightly used Thinkpad X201s but there don't
seem to be any available. I'll make do with this old X61.
