I was thinking more along the lines that if offering money for fixing stuff doesn't work, then maybe getting more interest (in addition to SoC) would work better. Therer must be a reason why nobody has formed a commercial compnay to fix bugs / develop new features fro FreeBSD (either with own employees or with hired people) already.
