Ah ok, my mistake.  I didn't understand how your machines were set up.
Let me back up a bit and ask a couple questons:

1.  How are the FreeBSD box and the Win98 box connected to each other?

2.  How is the Win98 box connected to the Internet?


I *think* your setup looks someting like this:

     +-------+                    +-------+
     |FreeBSD|----serial cable----| Win98 |----> Internet
     +-------+                    +-------+

Is this correct?
