The SCSI code only probed up to ID 7 until a few days ago. Now it is the responsibility of the controller drivers to notify the SCSI code what the maximum target is. The aic7xxx driver does this for wide controllers. The other drivers that support wide controllers should have support for this soon. -- Justin T.
