Hi: I've been trying setting up modem and ppp for a couple of days now. At this point I seem to be able to get tun0 running. However, when I tried $ ppp . . $ dial ISP I got the messege: ->Warning: DialModem: login failed. And this was in the log file: > ppp[16931]: Phase: Using interface: tun0 > Dec 16 13:23:06 mybsd ppp[16932]: Phase: PPP Started. > Dec 16 13:23:39 mybsd ppp[16932]: Phase: Connected! > Dec 16 13:23:44 mybsd ppp[16932]: Phase: Modem: Connect time: 5 secs: 0 octets in, 0 octets out > Dec 16 13:23:44 mybsd ppp[16932]: Phase: total 0 bytes/sec > Dec 16 13:23:44 mybsd ppp[16932]: Phase: PPP terminated (normal) Can someone help me on this a bit? Also, when I was inside ppp, I tried to dial manually using term, i.e., ppp on mybsd > term then I got the usual message ->Working in the interactive mode -> .. -> .. After that, everything is hung and I need to reboot the system. When I tried using term as root or a user, the shell can't find the command for me !! Thank you very much, Suttipan Limanond.
