Start xfce with no .config, then quit. Delete the new .config it just created. Restore the old config. On both of the systems tested, xfce with xfce4-session installed now starts every time. Posted this at the end of another thread, but no feedback yet on whether it works for other systems, and no real idea on why it works. -Warren Block * Rapid City, South Dakota USA
