Buy ``The Complete FreeBSD, 2nd Edition'' and ``TCP/IP Network Administration.'' 2. Install FreeBSD on the target box. 3. Enable named in /etc/rc.conf. 4. Set up named's zone and config files as described in TCP/IP Network Administration. The named files are in /etc/namedb/. Don't forget to set up the reverse zone files and run `make-localhost'! 5. Modify /etc/resolv.conf and add a line `nameserver 127.0.0.1'. 6. Restart your system or start named. 7. Enjoy your new nameservice.
