After re-discovering the ports collection and wasting a lot of bandwidth playing around and installing miscelaneous packages, I thought I'd set up slrn too. slrn depends on libiconv, and libiconv dumps core every time I try to compile it. I tried a reboot (just in case), but nothing useful came out of it. This is the error message that I get: [1] 696 Bus error (core dumped) *** Error code 138 ### (here 696) is different every time I run make. Any ideas/suggestions? -- Al.
