I missed the first part of this, but if somebody can recap real quick.

I'm running all 3com 3c509's (3c509B's I think), in all my boxes, and I'm 
not having any problems that I'm aware of related to hangs in the cards.  
Backups are down each night via NFS, which is about as much stress as 
they get.
