grrrrr, stupid me hasnt noticed that on floppy boot the loader.conf isnt recogniced. setting the variables (before boot) manually lets the notebook boot and find pccard. booting without hanging now. a suggestion would be to note that in the installation instructions. sorry for the trouble posts and thanks for the hints. -- -- Best regards / Mit freundlichen Gruessen, Karl M.
