A rewrite of MSDOSFS is one of the things on my TODO list.  I  am not
working on it currently -- I have other fish to fry in the FS code
right now, and other time commitments beyond that.

Unfortunately, it's not going to really be a priority for me for another
$250, which is what I need to install Win95 at home again so that I can
beat on a live DOS FS with the interesting Win95 pieces in it.  Basically,
I'm going to have to buy another drive to beat on.  My beater drive is
currently running BSD on an Alpha loaner box I got a while back to get
a port up and running.
