Hello after installing RedHat 5.2 on an new Pentium II (Asus P2L97 Board) system with Adaptec 2940 UW controller and IBM DDRS-34560 disks I 've got the following intermittent error: aborting command due to timeout : pid (17324), scsi0,channel0,id0,lun0 write (6) 01 00 34 02 00 scsi host 0 abort timedout - resetting scsi bus is beeing reset for host 0 channel 0 Just doing an "ls -lR" and the system hang for 10 - 20 seconds with the above error message. During installation the same thing happend. The contoller termination is automatic and only the internal cabel is terminated, no device . Reducing the transfer speed to 10 MB/s doesn't change anything.
