Greetings, programs! :-) Reading the the current mailing lists, it seems that firefox is a big issue "as is", meaning even on the traditional platforms like i386. So I guess I shouldn't be all that surprised that SPARC64 poses a problem too. I installed my Firefox one with the packages, once with the ports (after deinstalling the other one first). In both cases Firefox didn't start but just gave a segmentation fault. Thunderbird on the other hand, which I installed beside the browser, works fine - if you count the sluggish reaction as ok. Is this a known problem or just an isolated event? Regards, Chris
