The danger in asking for a "Linux-compatible" modem is that Lucent
has binary-only Linux drivers for Lucent Winmodems now. There are no such
drivers for FreeBSD, to my knowledge (though there should be). Another
example of FreeBSD being left behind in the Linux hype.
