I have a Dell PE 2600 with LSILogic PERC 4/Di RAID controller. FreeBSD 4.8 detects the status of the RAID during the boot fine: amr0: mem 0xfebf0000-0xfebfffff irq 11 at device 8.0 on pci8 amr0: Firmware 2.20, BIOS 1.03, 128MB RAM .... amrd0: on amr0 amrd0: 349390MB (715550720 sectors) RAID 5 (degraded) .... pass0 at amr0 bus 0 target 6 lun 0 pass0: Fixed Processor SCSI-2 device I would like to get the information about degraded status / disk removal in /var/log/messages without a need to reboot the machine, but I could not find how - ses does not work or I am doing something stupid. Is there currently a way to do so? Thank you for any help, Jarda Benkovsky
