It's just that you are meant to be silent and try the official way when things don't work this way. It they do -- enjoy! I thought buildworld is only needed before buildkernel. But to make sure (and to get the philosophy as well as all the advantages and downsides) make sure to check the archive -- the threads were quite numerous and long. > PS.
